Privacy information

This page explains how GoViral handles your information. For privacy questions, contact talk@goviral.lk.

What the site uses

Registration collects your name, email address, phone number, and password. Passwords are stored as salted, one-way hashes. Session cookies keep you signed in for up to 30 days. A private recovery code lets you reset your password; only its hash is stored. GoViral stores your professional profile, uploaded photographs, account engagement, applications, campaign responses, and in-app notifications. Brand enquiries store the contact and campaign information supplied in the form.

Your language preference is saved in a first-party cookie for up to one year. You can change it at any time using the language switch.

What becomes public

Only approved, unsuspended portfolios appear in discovery. Public information includes your display name, category, city and district, biography, photographs, optional professional details and social links, and genuine GoViral engagement totals. Do not put private information in your public biography or captions.

What stays private

Account email and phone number, draft and pending photographs, applications, brand contacts, internal notes, and review information are restricted to the relevant account and authorised administrators. Saving changes to an approved profile makes it private until it is reviewed again.

Photographs

Uploads are resized for display and re-encoded on the server to remove metadata, including embedded location metadata. Originals selected on your device are not retained by GoViral.

Control your information

Edit your portfolio and delete photographs in the profile editor. Unpublish your approved profile or delete your GoViral portfolio and account activity from the dashboard. Deleting your GoViral account removes its login credentials and invalidates its sessions. Administrator audit records and separately submitted business enquiries are not removed by portfolio deletion.

Visits and campaign assistance

A first-party browser identifier helps count unique visitors without storing raw IP addresses in visit history. Visit records are retained for up to 90 days. Counts exclude staff, portfolio owners, and known bots; different devices may count separately. If optional AI assistance is enabled and you request it, the current campaign answer is sent to OpenAI to help refine your brief. Contact fields are not sent by the assistant interface. Your confirmed brief and conversation are stored for GoViral management.

Infrastructure

GoViral Concierge is GoViral’s help chatbot. When live AI is enabled, the messages in your current conversation are sent to OpenAI to answer questions about our services. GoViral does not save these chat messages to its database; they remain in the current page until you clear the chat or leave. Do not send passwords, recovery codes or sensitive personal information. GoViral Concierge provides guidance; enquiries and registrations must be submitted through the relevant forms.

GoViral stores account and portfolio information using Cloudflare database and file storage. It does not add advertising trackers, social publishing, payment processing, or public contact-email display.
